In the Raw - Major Attractions and Highlights For Festival 2017

The 2017 RawFest

Big Gig

Music Program

‘In the Raw 2017’ is pleased, excited and honoured (all at once!) to present the internationally acclaimed entertainer Andy Seymour as both our Festival MC and our headline entertainment for our 2017 festival event!

The son of an Itinerant Preacher, Andy Seymour was raised amidst a dynamic Gospel music environment. By age 12, he was playing drums in his Father’s fiery gospel church services. His boundless passion for music was further fired by the eclectic songs he heard coming from small town radio stations. This cultivated a love for the voices of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Tony Joe White and even the Crooners like Dean Martin & Nat King Cole left their impression.

Spending most of the 2000’s based in the USA; Andy’s powerhouse vocal performances worked their magic on American audiences who fell in love with his genuine appreciation for, and understanding of, their heartland music. To this day, Andy is often invited back for Festival and ‘special guest’ appearances.
Andy’s ‘Bless My Soul – The Gospel Music of Elvis’ - sold out at the 2016 Adelaide Fringe, receiving 2 standing ovations and widespread critical acclaim.

“Seymour is in complete control of his material, and has what it takes to wow an audience”
– The Adelaide Advertiser
Need we say anymore – come and see Andy live, supported by Acoustic Juice, at this years’ ‘In the Raw Festival’ – showcasing the best life has to offer in the Adelaide Hills!
